André Thomé Ferreira

Founder and Head Coach

André is, above all, a water sports enthusiast. His journey began in 2009 as a windsurfer, but since then, his repertoire has grown to include Kitesurf, Wingfoil, Parawing, SUP Foil, and Va’a (Polynesian canoe).

A competitor at heart, by the age of 17 he was already a 2x Brazilian Bic-Techno Champion, runner-up in the South American Championship, and Vice-Champion in the Brazilian Va’a circuit.

This drive for a high level of technique, combined with his true biggest passion—teaching—shaped him into a water sports instructor.

He began his career at 17, when his vacation time turned into a part-time job in Jericoacoara. Six years later, with his Mechanical Engineering degree in hand but feeling unfulfilled by the lifestyle in his hometown, São Paulo, he made up his mind: he was moving to Northern Brazil to give his dream a chance.

Now at 27, André and his fiancée Júlia are fully immersed in the world of foil. Splitting their time between Viana do Castelo, Portugal (6 months) and Preá, Brazil (5 months), they are now committed 100% to sharing their passion for foiling with others.

Júlia dos Santos Morais

Media Maneger and Instructor

Just like André, Julia also grew up in the water. By the age of 14, she started her journey in open water swimming. After participating in several events, adult life called, and she had to start university.

Not wanting to stray far from her natural habitat—sports—she decided to study Nutrition. Five years later, frustrated with the lifestyle in São Paulo, she trusted André’s vision of a new life far from the concrete jungle. They moved to Jericoacoara for a year before settling in the neighboring village of Preá.

She was first hooked by kitesurfing, committing to learn the sport during her first Portuguese season in 2024. A year later, tired of not having as much fun as André was having, wingfoiling was no longer just an option—it became mandatory #foilhasnocure. In only four months, she went from zero to gliding for over an hour without touching the water.

Today, she is a vital part of this journey working as the Media Manager; every post passes through her hands. Since 2025, she has also officially joined the Instructors Team.
